Pianos Become The Teeths "Old Piano" 12" Inch Vinyl White / Red Haze
Originally released in 2009, Old Pride captures Baltimore's Pianos Become the Teeth at their most raw, passionate, and emotionally devastating. Across eight intensely personal tracks, the band combines the desperate urgency of screamo and post-hardcore with atmospheric post-rock influences, explosive rhythms, and deeply affecting songwriting, establishing the album as one of the defining releases of the late 2000s underground hardcore scene.
Featuring standout tracks such as "Filial," "Sleepshaker," "Pensive," "Cripples Can't Shiver," and "Young Fire,"the album explores themes of loss, grief, family, and emotional struggle. Driven by Kyle Durfey's unmistakably desperate vocals, intricate guitar melodies, and powerful dynamic shifts, every song moves between moments of fragile beauty and overwhelming intensity, creating an unforgettable emotional experience.
Released in Europe on 12" vinyl by Anchors Aweigh Records, this special White / Red Haze vinyl edition is strictly limited to 300 copies, making it a distinctive collector's edition of the band's groundbreaking debut album. The release features catalogue number #18 printed on the back sleeve and AA018 on the center label.
More than fifteen years later, Old Pride remains a landmark of modern screamo and post-hardcore, an essential record for longtime fans and anyone drawn to music that transforms vulnerability, pain, and raw emotion into something truly extraordinary.
