Grieved "Samaritans" 12" Inch Vinyl Solid White Haze
Originally released in 2012, Samaritans captures Swedish hardcore band Grieved at a defining moment in their evolution, delivering a darker, heavier, and more mature follow-up to their debut EP Ageing. Hailing from Stockholm, the band combines crushing guitar riffs, relentless rhythms, desperate vocals, and suffocating atmospheres into an uncompromising expression of modern European hardcore.
Across eight intensely powerful tracks, including "Schemes," "Samaritans," "The Attrition of Reason," and "Stockholm Blues," the EP explores themes of disillusionment, alienation, frustration, and emotional struggle. Blending metallic hardcore aggression with oppressive mid-tempo passages and deeply personal songwriting, Grieved create a bleak and confrontational sound driven by raw sincerity and overwhelming intensity.
Originally released on 12" vinyl by Anchors Aweigh Records in 2012, Samaritans represents an essential chapter in the band's discography, showcasing the evolution of their distinctive sound before their later international recognition.
More than a decade later, Samaritans remains a powerful statement of dark European hardcore, an intense and uncompromising release for longtime fans and collectors of underground hardcore vinyl.
