Creative Adult "Dead Air" 7" Inch Vinyl Grey
Originally released in 2012, Dead Air marks the debut of Northern California's Creative Adult, introducing a dark, restless, and uncompromising sound that would make the band one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary underground punk. Drawing influence from the raw aggression of Black Flag, the experimental tension of Scratch Acid, and the haunting atmosphere of Joy Division, the band delivers four powerful tracks that blur the boundaries between hardcore punk, post-punk, and noise rock.
Featuring "Dead Air," "Tabloid," "You," and "Forbidden Fruit," this EP combines abrasive guitar work, driving rhythms, anxious vocals, and unsettling melodies into an intense and unpredictable listening experience. Each track reveals a band unafraid to experiment, balancing raw punk energy with darker textures and an unmistakable sense of urgency.
Released in Europe on 7" vinyl by Anchors Aweigh Records, this special European pressing is strictly limited to 300 copies on Grey vinyl, making it a distinctive collector's edition of the band's debut EP and an essential early chapter in their discography.
More than a decade later, Dead Air remains an essential introduction to Creative Adult's distinctive identity, a compelling piece of modern underground punk for longtime fans and collectors of adventurous independent music.
