Break Even "The Bright Side" 12" Inch Vinyl Transparent Limited Edition
Originally released in 2009, The Bright Side captures Australian melodic hardcore band Break Even at their most passionate and emotionally powerful. Hailing from Perth, the band delivers an unforgettable collection of songs that combine heartfelt melodies, driving rhythms, explosive breakdowns, and deeply personal lyrics, establishing the record as one of the defining releases of its era.
Featuring standout tracks such as "October 27th," "Heart Shape House," "The Bright Side," and "Dreamer," the album explores themes of loss, friendship, hope, and perseverance. Written in the aftermath of the tragic passing of guitarist Rowan Willoughby, The Bright Side transforms grief into something profoundly meaningful, balancing raw aggression with moments of vulnerability and uplifting intensity.
Released in Europe by Anchors Aweigh Records in 2010, this special second pressing of the 12" vinyl edition is strictly limited to 200 copies on Transparent Ultra Clear vinyl, making it a distinctive collector's edition of this beloved album.
More than fifteen years later, The Bright Side remains a timeless statement of sincerity and resilience, an essential record for fans of melodic hardcore and a powerful reminder of the emotional connection that makes this music so enduring.
